In Teresa of Ávila I see a woman with both feet on the ground, who lived in a deep friendship with God and was firmly rooted in Him. Through this deep, living relationship with God she fulfilled her life mission including the many foundations, despite illness and difficulties from others, accomplishing her work and her writings, all of which serve as "nourishment" on the spiritual path for later generations.
